Bruce Edward Makarewicz, 62, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 9 Born in Waterbury, Conn., he was the owner of Advance Drug Testing Services, a founding member and director of West Hawaii Community Health Center and active with Outdoor Circle. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 17) at new West Hawaii Community Health Center Pavilion, 74-5214 Keanalehu Drive, Kailua-Kona. Memorial service at 11 a.m. No flowers. Memorial donations to West Hawaii Community Health Center. Survived by wife, Pimpaporn “Gaou” Makarewicz; mother, Ann-Mack of Kailua-Kona; stepson, Suket of Thailand; brothers, Barry (Laura) Makarewicz of Salt Lake City and Kevin (Nancy) Makarewicz of Old Greenwich, Conn.; sisters Mother Jadwiga Makarewicz of Bethlehem, Conn., and Paula (Steve) Pinkham of Salt Lake City; nieces and nephews. James “Jimmy” “Babooz” Nathan Haaheo Wise, 74, of Volcano died Sept. 30 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility.
